If you’re not first, you will be last … what does that mean? It means that timeliness and punctuality are vital. Chef Andres shares stories about how he gets jobs because he is the first to respond to inquiries and send menus to clients. Other chefs waited and did not respond right away, and the clients hired Andres based on the fact that he was responsive. Commit to something and KEEP YOUR WORD! Character and trust go far in this industry. Your customers need to be able to see that you will follow through and do the things that you say you are going to do like call them, respond to their emails, and send them a menu.
